OVERVIEW
The Samyang 85mm T1.5 is a manual focus prime lens. This VDSLR (Video DSLR) version has been developed primarily for professional cine / movie making purposes. The VDSLR version features follow focus gearing and decoupled aperture, which allow the user to smoothly and quietly change focus and aperture/depth of field whilst filming, and link to professional follow focus cam systems.
It is designed to give exceptional results at wide apertures. At T1.5 great images can be obtained, which is perfect for portraiture and low light shooting, particularly when mounted on a full frame DSLRs.

OVERVIEW
The Samyang 50mm T1.5 AS UMC VDSLR Cine Lens is the cine / video version of the Samyang 50 mm f1.4 AS UMC featuring the same excellent optics, but with integrated gearing for video rigs with follow focus systems. This specially designed Samyang 50mm lens is full frame compatible, suitable for cameras and interchangeable lens camcorders fitted with 24x36mm (full frame) or smaller sensor. 

The Samyang 50mm standard prime lens gives 46.2 degrees field of view with a fast aperture of T1.5 (f/1.4) for great low light videography / photography and shallow depth of field work. Splendid image quality and small depth of field with beautiful, natural rendered bokeh by use of 8 circular aperture blades makes it especially suited to film, where separation of the subject from the background is desired.

Samyang 35mm T1.5 VDSLR AS UMC II features 12 lenses in 10 groups including 2 high refractive index lenses (HR) to compactify the size of lens and increase the sharpness. Glass aspherical lens (ASP) minimizes color aberration to realize exceptional image quality and high contrast for center and corner of image even when aperture is fully opened. Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) technology of Samyang Optics optimizes the light penetration and minimizes flare and ghost. Samyang 35mm T1.5 II is known for its beautiful and soft bokeh. It adapts floating lens system to find the minimum focus distance. There are 8 aperture blades designed to be almost as a full circle when aperture is closed which expresses starlike ray clearly and beautifully.

The Samyang 24mm T1.5 lens is a super-fast aperture lens designed for shooting high-quality video footage on full-frame and APS-C sensored DSLR cameras as well as professional camcorders. Optical construction is based on the super-sharp 24mm f1.4 lens, with 13 elements in 12 groups and 84 degrees field of view. However this ‘cinema’ version features gearing on the focus and aperture rings to allow follow focus and aperture control from a professional camera rig. The aperture ring is also stepless for smooth and continuous adjustment. Focus distance and aperture settings are clearly marked on the side of the lens barrel to allow easy reference when mounted on a tripod. The stated aperture of T1.5 refers to the actual light transmission of the lens and is particularly important in the film industry where light readings are normally made manually.

Set of Canon FD cine modded lens's.

These are all the SSC coating versions of the lenses, much like their bigger K35 brothers. 

Expect edge softness, low contrast and warmth. A great pairing with most mega sharp high def image sensors. 

All have been hard EF mount modded, so no need to adding crappy adapters into the mix etc, straight on with new EF mounts. All apatures have been declicked, and they all have the same 80mm front ring and 77mm internal screw filter thread and seamless focus gears. (Which I hadnt yet fitted when I took the current photos) 

The kit consists of the following lenses:

85mm 1.8 ssc

The 25/35/50/85 are optically perfect. No scratches, fungus or mould in the lens at all, I searched hard for perfect examples. 

The 17mm is optically perfect, but interesting... it has the AR SSC coating removed on the front element, but still has it on the rear element. This was thanks to the front coating having some patchy damage and so now the image is clean and uniform, but it does flare a lot which is wicked (in my opinion and that of a few friends who have used it too, see photo of reviews)

PS: I also have an Aivascope Anamorphic lens 1.5x which works amazingly with these FDs as taking lenses. On full frame the 50 & 85 work great with no vingetting, and on S35 the 35mm also works with a bit of vingetting.
